The past few months were overly chaotic with the never-ending marathon of university assignments, a full-time job, juggling not one but two internships and preparing for life abroad. Busy, busy.
After spending a month in Paris, I've finally made my way over to Rotterdam - the vibrant, avant-garde Dutch city I will be calling home for the next six months.
Swedish fashion house ACNE have dug deep into their sartorial archives, unveiling a 20-piece total white capsule collection just in time for summer.
The sartorial masterminds behind the Scandinavian cult label have compiled this fresh monochromatic collection by re-inventing classic ACNE pieces from over the years... Think crisp poplin shirts, a-line leather skirts, silk trousers, boxy tees and flat sandals, all in the purest shade of white.
Kudos to Jonny Johansson for another killer collection.
Through a series of black and white portraits, Karl Lagerfeld has collaborated with Carine Roitfeld to pay homage to one of the fashion house's most iconic pieces: the little black jacket.
For this project, the creative duo enlisted more than a hundred notable personalities. Actors, designers, singers, rock stars... Alexander Wang, Anna Wintour, Haider Ackermann, Kanye West, Sarah Jessica Parker, Georgia May Jagger, Alice Dellal, and more, all of whom are wearing little black jacket in their own unique way, reflecting the versatility of Chanel's vision.
European spring has arrived and so too has the first edition of the Dutch fashion bible!
The debut cover of Vogue Nederlandfeatures a trio of homegrown models, Ymre Stiekema, Josefien Rodermans and Romee Strijd, clad in bright spring hues. So appropriate.
The contrast of the vibrant garments with the white background and black title gives the magazine a real vintage feel to it. For the premiere cover, it is a lot more understated than I had anticipated, nevertheless, the brights and pastels really capture the mood of the season.
My mission now is to get my hands on the first issue!
Shakuhachi's AW 2012 Collection is right on trend with this season's burgundy-hued palette. I'm definitely leaning towards those fabulous quilted leather shorts.
When it comes to obtaining my daily dose of sartorial eye candy, Caroline's Modenever fails to deliver.
Caroline Blomst, former Swedish model, international ambassador of Rekorderlig Cider and the brains behind Caroline's Mode, is responsible for putting Stockholm on the global style map, using the blog as a medium for showcasing some of the small Scandinavian city's most enviable street style looks.
Next week Caroline will be heading to Sydney to launch her first photography exhibition, Stockholm Street Style, at theüber-trendy Scandinavian fashion boutique and gallery, Somedays in Surry Hills on Wednesday.
The exhibition opens on March 21 and will be on display for a month until April 15.
I'm super excited and can't wait to head over and check it out!
The April issue landed on my doorstep this morning. I must say Vogue Australia have been absolutely killing it with their fantastic covers as of late. Big kudos to Kirstie Clements and her team.
